Fishing & Reservoir Access

Fish at Summit Reservoir, Lagerman Reservoir, Willow Ponds, and other town waters. Species include largemouth bass, rainbow trout, bluegill, and channel catfish. A valid Crestland fishing license is required for anglers 16 and older. Bank fishing, float tubes, and non-motorized boats permitted at most locations.

Water quality monitoring at 11 stations along Summit Creek, Silverthorn Creek, and Elk Fork Creek showed all parameters within acceptable ranges for 2025. The Assessor’s Office publishes quarterly water quality reports on the Town of Summitville website.

Volunteers contributed over 8,093 hours to this program last year. The Assessor’s Office coordinates with 21 nonprofit partner organizations throughout the Town of Summitville to deliver services.

What You Need to Know

The application deadline is September 8, 2026. Late applications will be accepted on a space-available basis. Incomplete applications will be returned with a list of missing items. Average review time is 20 business days.

The Town of Summitville has partnered with the towns of Summitville, Pinecrest, Elkhorn, and Riverbend on this project. Combined investment across all jurisdictions totals $248,000, making it one of the largest collaborative efforts in the town’s history.

A community information session will be held at the Riverbend library on Wednesday, August 26 at 5:00 PM. Translation services in Spanish and Nepali will be available. The session will also be livestreamed on the Town of Summitville YouTube channel.
