Town Council
Summitville is governed by a Mayor and four Council Members elected at large to serve staggered four-year terms. The Council sets policy, adopts the annual budget, and enacts the ordinances that govern day-to-day life in town.

Eleanor Whitfield
Presides over Council meetings, represents the Town in regional matters, and signs adopted ordinances and resolutions.

Chairs the Finance and Budget committee and serves as liaison to Public Works.

Agendas & minutes
Agendas are posted at Town Hall and on this website at least 72 hours before each meeting. Approved minutes and meeting recordings are published in the days following each session.

Ordinances & the municipal code
The Summitville Municipal Code is the consolidated set of laws adopted by the Council. New ordinances receive two public readings before adoption.

- Resolutions and proclamations are archived separately.
Public comment
Every regular meeting includes a public comment period. You may speak in person or submit written comments in advance.
- Sign up to speak before the meeting begins; remarks are limited to three minutes.
- Written comments received by 4:00 PM on the meeting day are entered into the record.
- Email comments to the Town Clerk.

Regular Council meetings
The Town Council meets in regular session on the second Tuesday of every month at 6:00 PM in the Council Chambers at Summitville Town Hall. Special sessions and work sessions are noticed in advance. All meetings are open to the public.
