Marriage License Requirements

Both parties must appear in person at the Clerk & Recorder’s Office with valid government-issued photo identification. Crestland has no waiting period or blood test requirement. The license is valid for 35 days from the date of issuance and can be used anywhere in Crestland.

A community information session will be held at the Summitville library on Tuesday, July 28 at 5:00 PM. Translation services in Spanish and Nepali will be available. The session will also be livestreamed on the Town of Summitville YouTube channel.

The Town of Summitville has partnered with the towns of Summitville, Pinecrest, Elkhorn, and Riverbend on this project. Combined investment across all jurisdictions totals $482,000, making it one of the largest collaborative efforts in the town’s history.

Timeline

The Town Council will review progress on this initiative at their August 16 business meeting. Agenda items and supporting documents are posted on the Town of Summitville website 72 hours before each meeting.

The application deadline is October 24, 2026. Late applications will be accepted on a space-available basis. Incomplete applications will be returned with a list of missing items. Average review time is 9 business days.
