Swimming Pools & Aquatic Centers

The Town of Summitville operates four public swimming pools and aquatic centers with lap pools, leisure pools, water slides, and splash pads. Open swim, lap swim, water fitness classes, and swim lessons available. Season passes, punch cards, and daily admission options. Lifeguards on duty during all open hours.

The Coalton Trail open space property encompasses 2,373 acres and features 15 miles of multi-use trails. Seasonal wildlife closures may apply from December 15 through July 15 to protect nesting raptors and elk calving areas.

The Riverbend Senior Center offers related programming including free legal consultations, tax preparation assistance, health screenings, and social activities. Over 4,574 seniors participated in center programs last year.

Timeline

Volunteers contributed over 5,820 hours to this program last year. The Transportation coordinates with 20 nonprofit partner organizations throughout the Town of Summitville to deliver services.

Climate considerations are central to this effort. The Town of Summitville’s 2025 Climate Action Plan sets targets of reducing greenhouse gas emissions 80% below 2005 levels by 2030. This project contributes to those goals through energy efficiency improvements, renewable energy integration, and reduced vehicle miles traveled.
