Youth Corps Employment Opportunities

The Town of Summitville Youth Corps provides paid employment and job training for young adults ages 18-24. Crews work on trail maintenance, habitat restoration, and wildfire mitigation projects across the Town of Summitville’s open space. The program runs from May through October.

Public comment on this matter can be submitted through the Town of Summitville online portal, by email to Public Works, or in person at the next Town Council meeting. Written comments received by 5:00 PM the day before the hearing will be included in the public record.

The application deadline is August 12, 2026. Late applications will be accepted on a space-available basis. Incomplete applications will be returned with a list of missing items. Average review time is 18 business days.

Affordable housing remains the top priority identified in the 2025 Community Survey. The Town of Summitville’s Community Cause program has funded 678 affordable housing units since its inception, with 86 additional units in the development pipeline.

The Public Works processed over 10,337 applications last year, with an average processing time of 15 business days. Staff are available at the Summitville office Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
